FOUR KMC SENIOR OFFICIALS UNDERGO LEADERSHIP TRAINING IN NAIROBI, KENYA

Four senior officials from The Gambia’s Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC) are currently in Nairobi, Kenya, participating in an intensive Executive Leadership and Management training program. This initiative is supported by the West Africa Coastal Areas (WACA) Investment Resilience Program II, aiming to bolster institutional capacity and governance in coastal municipalities.

The delegation, led by Chief Executive Officer Paa Sait Ceesay, includes the Clerk of Council, Director of Audit, and Deputy Director of Planning (Technical). They are attending a specialized course at the Foscore Development Center (FDC-K), a renowned Kenyan institution known for its tailored capacity-building programs in leadership, governance, and organizational development.

The training encompasses modules on strategic leadership, change management, performance evaluation, and team dynamics. Participants will engage in practical exercises, case studies, and collaborative workshops designed to enhance their ability to implement innovative solutions and drive organizational growth.

Upon completion, the KMC officials will receive certification from FDC-K, equipping them with advanced skills to lead transformative initiatives within their municipality. This effort aligns with KMC’s mission of Effective Service delivery and WACA’s broader mission to strengthen resilience and sustainable development in West Africa’s coastal regions.
