 Yankuba Darboe is a Gambian politician affiliated with the United Democratic Party (UDP). In the 2023 local government elections, he was elected as the Chairman of the Brikama Area Council, representing the West Coast Region of The Gambia.

In the 2023 local elections held on May 20, Darboe secured the chairmanship of the Brikama Area Council with a total of 77,946 votes. He defeated candidates from the National People’s Party (NPP) and other parties, marking a significant win for the UDP in urban areas.
